Gabriel Garcia Marquez has a unique writing style that cannot be compared with any other writers. His choice of descriptive words are very strong and seems to give an extremely vivid image exactly how he wants you to view it. As of content and choice of topic, i think it is very well selected and plotted out. His incorporation of bizarre fiction fits perfectly well in the story as well. An example of this is the contraptions of Melquiades or the spear thrown into Prudencio's neck.
Over all, i love this book so far. Previous books that have been read in the humanities course did not resonate with me, but this one does due to its unpredictability and mature approach to such a unique story.
